This class is for beginner to intermediate pottery students. We will focus on a mix of throwing and hand building techniques with stoneware clay, shaping, different techniques and glazing. All materials are provided for you.
About Micheline:
Micheline Ardent is a ceramics artist and instructor based in Warwick, Rhode Island. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Rhode Island College and has been a working artist for over 15 years. Micheline’s work has been exhibited in both the United States and Europe, reflecting her deep commitment to craftsmanship and global ceramic traditions.
Her artistic journey includes studying abroad at the International Ceramic Studio in Kecskemét, Hungary, an experience that continues to influence her practice and teaching. Micheline regularly sells her work at prominent art festivals such as the Scituate Art Festival and the Wickford Art Festival, as well as at shows throughout New England.
In addition to her studio practice, Micheline teaches private pottery classes in her own studio in Warwick, where she shares her passion for ceramics with students of all skill levels. Dedicated to education and creative growth, she finds great joy in helping others develop their skills and deepen their understanding of the ceramic arts.
